Stevenage waiting on Irish FA after FIFA give all clear
Stevenage manager Graham Westley says Boro hope to finalise Don Cowan’s move to the club this week.
Speaking about the striker, who signed from Irish League side Longford Town last week only for the move to be delayed as the club waited on international clearance, Westley said: “I think we might have had some positive news on that front.
“I think FIFA might have given us the thumbs up and we just need to do a little bit with the Irish FA now so as soon as we get Don back fit then hopefully he’ll be cleared and available to play.”
Asked if the 21-year-old will be able to hit the ground running once the clearance comes through, Westley, referring to the front man’s pace, added: “No he won’t be able to hit the ground running but just you try catching him [when he does].”
