PLAYERS and management from Stevenage Boro FC delighted patients in Lister Hospital's children's ward when they made their annual Christmas visit last week.
The players brought with them an abundance of hot pizzas donated by Pizza Hut, presents, tins of sweets and variety packs and talked to children about life as footballers.
The whole squad, including team mascot Boro Bear, went along and took time to joke and have fun with the children at their bedsides, signing autographs and giving hugs.
Before they left, a DVD of new Disney film Cars was left for children to watch as another Christmas treat.
