Boro look to have finally found that winning touch in the Conference thanks to a 2-1 win at Kidderminster on Saturday.

Mark Stimson's men are now just one more win away from a potential place in the top 10 of the Conference, and the season now seems to be back on track for the team thanks to two narrow, hard-fought victories.

Their victory at Kidderminster's Aggborough Stadium came thanks to goals from Luke Oliver and George Boyd, the perfect follow-up to the previous success against Grays Athletic.

The hosts had managed to get themselves level in-between Boro's goals thanks to a strike from top scorer Iyseden Christie but few would begrudge Stevenage their second away win of the season.

Like Boro, big-spending Kidderminster have flattered to deceive at times this season and it was poor defending that allowed Oliver to power his side ahead as he out-jumped Mark Creighton in the area to crash home Steve Guppy's corner.

Veteran Guppy, along with Steve Morison, were at the heart of a hard-working performance from Stevenage, the former Leicester man looked to have slotted beautifully into the side after his recent injury absence.

Morison found himself free out on the wing just seconds after Kidderminster debutant James Constable had kept Alan Julian alert with a flashing shot across goal, though the Boro man's ball was too deep and too early for Boyd.

The home side adopted a physical approach to proceedings and Russell Penn somehow managed to get off without as much as a warning from referee Karl Evans after he went in hard on Barry Fuller. Unable to run off the injury, Fuller was replaced by Hasim Deen.

Two minutes after the break, the hosts levelled matters as Christie was given too much time to take down Boro old boy Michael Blackwood's ball and blast past Julian into the top right corner of the net.

Oliver and John Nutter mopped up a further Kidderminster surge as the Harriers looked to take the lead.

Within 10 minutes of the restart, Boro were again ahead, Guppy's masterful cross found Boyd free in the area who notched his eighth league goal of the season with a cheeky lob over Scott Bevan.

Even for the remainder of the game, it was Stevenage who looked better going forward.

Kidderminster's only real threat came from set pieces, and even after Brad Johnson had given away a needless free-kick and collected himself a booking, on-loan midfielder Rob Davies fired high and wide for the hosts.

Julian was called into action a few more times in the latter portion of the half as Creighton, Constable and Gavin Hurren all tried their luck.

But Stevenage could quite easily have had a deserved third after Boyd left the home defence for dead only to fire just over from a tight angle.

Stimson said: "Kidderminster is a very tough place to come but we rolled our sleeves up and gave 100 per cent and when you do that you normally always get rewards.

"The lads have worked extremely hard in training and we've got two wins under our belts now but as this was the case just a couple of weeks ago we know the important thing is to keep it going.

"We've scored two good goals and really run ourselves into the ground.
