British Transport Police (BTP) is investigating the death of a middle aged man near the railway bridge at Langford today.
The body was discovered by the Cambridge Road bridge by a train driver at 7am.
Bedfordshire Police and the ambulance service were called and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Train services were not affected.
A BTP spokesman said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and next of kin were being informed.
