An avid Back to the Future fan had a birthday to remember on Saturday when his girlfriend treated him to a trip in a DeLorean.
John Draper, who lives in Symonds Green in Stevenage, didn’t expect to be confronted with the iconic car from the 1980s cult movie series when he visited hotel and wedding venue Offley Place for his 30th birthday on Saturday.
In addition to the car, John’s partner Lauren Joy even organised a replica Marty McFly costume for him to wear.
She said: “He was absolutely lost for words and we all had tears in our eyes. It was a great day and something John will remember forever. Hamid Sabahipour who owns the spectacular house let us use the grounds and we’d like to thank him again for agreeing to it.”
Lauren revealed they plan on getting married at the house in two years’ time.
