The challenge was completed during in the lead up to National Guide Dogs Week, which ends tomorrow.

The team taking on the challenge included practise manager Tracy Rook, optical assistant Emmanuel Chapman and optometrist Chaim Steel, who walked up Snowdon, Ben Nevis and Scafell Pike – the highest mountains in Wales, Scotland and England.

Tracy said: “We were all cold and exhausted, but our spirits were high and the feeling of camaraderie was fantastic.

“It was great to be able to say that we were doing it for Guide Dogs. We all love dogs and these little heroes deserve all the support and recognition we can give them. They are literally changing people’s lives.”

Providing the service for blind and partially sighted people costs in excess of £50,000 per dog through their career.
