Police are investigating after an attempted robbery targeting two schoolgirls in Biggleswade.

A pair of young Biggleswade schoolgirls were stopped and threatened on their way home yesterday by two boys who demanded money.

The attempted robbery happened in Potton Road, near Edward Peake Middle School, at about 3.45pm.

Police said two young girls were approached by a pair of boys who threatened them and asked for money.

A force spokesman said officers are liaising with the victims and their families, adding that investigations are continuing.
