Hundreds of people having been paying their respects to the fallen as Remembrance services were held in Biggleswade, Sandy and Potton.
Friday’s Armistice Day service in Biggleswade saw veterans, dignitaries and members of the public young and old gather at the town’s war memorial for a two-minute silence to remember all those who have lost their lives in conflict.
Royal British Legion standard bearers were present as Biggleswade Sea Cadets played the Last Post, with pupils from Lawnside Lower and Ivel Valley schools also in attendance.
On Remembrance Sunday there was a parade through the town with music from the Biggleswade Sea Cadets Band, culminating again at the war memorial.
There were similar scenes in Sandy on Sunday in a parade led by North East Beds MP Alistair Burt and Tim Sills, one of the Deputy Lord Lieutenants of Bedfordshire, with representation from the army cadets, air cadets and Sandy Fire & Rescue Service.
In Potton, roads were closed for the town’s own Remembrance Sunday parade.
