Biggleswade’s new Carnival Court for 2018 has been announced ahead of this year’s events.
The Carnival Queen is 12-year-old Kaci-Mai Wood, with Izzy Walker and Elliot Cox, both aged six, as Princess and Prince.
They were selected on Sunday at Biggleswade Social Club, with what the Carnival committee said was an excellent turnout.
Carnival day is on Saturday, June 23, with the theme ‘TV Gold’. Ahead of the big day there are events including Whimsical Quizzical on June 9, touch rugby on June 10, darts on June 11, a horse racing night on June 16, a druck race on June 17 and more.
The committee thanked the contestants who took part, as well as the family and friends who came to support them – with special thanks to the judges and to Biggleswade Social Club, Gavin Beard and Glyn Barker for music and compering.
