Could your child be this year’s Biggleswade Carnival Queen, Princess or Prince?

The carnival organisers say the numbers of applications for the role of Carnival Queen have been low for the past few years, and have said they will have to scrap the Carnival Queen unless there are more applications this time around.

The court selection afternoon is on Sunday, April 8, ahead of Carnival Day on Saturday, June 23 – if you’re interested, make sure you’re available on that day. The Carnival Queen is aged 12 to 18, and the Princess and Prince are aged six to 11.

For application forms, see biggleswade-carnival.org or go to Biggleswade Social Club, Angelique Hairdressers or The Silver Box in the High Street. Return forms to Carnival Court, c/o 15 Apple Tree Close, Biggleswade.

The theme for Carnival Day this year is TV Gold, and there is still time to enter a float or vehicle or to walk in the parade. To find out more, call Pam on 07488 701527 or see biggleswade-carnival.org.
