A Hitchin dance school is celebrating after five of its pupils qualified for a prestigious competition through their efforts last weekend.
BX Dance, who train in studios in Bury Mead Road competed in the UK Street Dance Championships in Blackpool against a large number of other dancers from across the country.
Rebecca Alfano’s team was made up of nine dancers, with talented Tyresse Hare managing an impressive fourth place in the U16 boys competition – seeing him qualify for the European street dance championships to be held in the Czech Republic in June.
BX Dance also saw another four members selected for the tournament – Chephra Morgan, 10, and Betsie Barnes, 10, who competed in the under 12 girls pairs, with Soraya Bernard, six, and Olivia Eversely, seven, also qualifying for the U12s competition.
Rebecca said: “I’m so proud of all my dancers. They did ever so well.”
