All dogs – and their owners – are invited to an annual ‘dog watch’ day being run by Herts police.

The constabulary’s Safer Neighbourhoods Team for Stevenage will be holding the event called Dog Watch Doggie Day, in Stevenage Town Centre Gardens on Sunday June 4 from 11am to 4pm.

The event will raise money for the Herts Air Ambulance.

There will be entertainment for families including fun games, dog agility sessions, a fun dog show, bouncy castles and charity stalls. Police officers will also be in attendance to meet members of the public.

Categories in the dog show include ‘appealing eyes’, ‘best veteran’ and ‘best sausage catch’ and ‘prettiest bitch’.

Raffle prizes include a dog grooming session and free crazy golf for four people.
