A MAN who rose from humble beginnings to become a star of the business world is set to visit Comet country next week.
The special guest speaker at business group FSB Hertfordshire's early summer spectacular at Stevenage Boro's Broadhall Way ground on Wednesday (May 31) will be Karan Bilimoria.
He is chief executive of the highly successful Cobra Beer company which has a fascinating marketing story with a catchphrase - "Inspired!"
"We are certain that Karan will inspire everyone present with motivation and ideas for their own marketing projects," said FSB events co-ordinator Maree Atkinson.
Karan started his brewing business in a flat in Fulham. He is now the 35th most successful entrepreneur in the UK, not far behind Richard Branson and Alan Sugar.
Maree added: "Many businesses wrestle with marketing their companies, and with so many different opportunities on offer, we thought 'let's get a high profile expert in'. You can't get much more experienced than Karan. Getting him for our May event is a real coup."

The Curry and Cobra night, sponsored by NatWest North Herts Business Centre, aims to be relaxed and informal, and business guests are welcome, including first-timers.
There will be a curry (and a choice of other goodies for non-curry eaters), and an update on the FSB's member services. Around 130 people will be there.
