A WOMAN has been convicted of two charges of benefit fraud and ordered to repay more than £3,000.
Mary Moore, of Swift Close, Letch-worth GC, appeared at Stevenage Magi-strates' Court and pleaded guilty to one count of failing to notify North Hert-fordshire District Council's benefits department that her circumstances had changed in that she had started paid employment.
On the second count she was also in receipt of working tax credits.
The 56-year-old divorcee was sentenced to a 40-hour community punishment order and ordered to pay court costs of £150.
She must also repay £3,328.20 to NHDC for overpaid benefit.
