A black belt in martial arts is organising free anti-bullying workshops for children to coincide with an awareness week.

Choi Kwang Do instructor Keith Banfield will be leading workshops at Marriotts School in Stevenage on November 18 and 19 to mark National Anti-Bullying Week.

Sessions will run on both days from 6pm to 7pm for primary pupils and 7pm-8pm for secondary students as a result of a partnership between Chells Choi Kwang Do School – based at Marriotts Sports Centre – and the Anti-Bullying Alliance.

Keith, who lives in Chells, said: “The alliance’s aim is ‘to stop bullying and create safe environments in which children and young people can live, grow, play and learn’, and this is something our members feel strongly about. Our aim is to transform lives and empower generations so that we all can be happier, healthier and more productive.”
