The fire service is urging people to keep safe when having private bonfire and firework parties tonight.
The majority of fireworks and bonfire accidents happen at private parties and if you do hold your own you are advised not to drink alcohol if setting off fireworks. Instructions also include keeping them in a closed box, following the instructions, and lighting them at arm’s length.
