A NIGHTCLUB has raised hundreds of pounds for charity by holding a bands night.

Jumpin Jaks hosted one of the biggest local band nights in the area to raise money for local charity, the Libra Support Group.

Local bands The Frays, A Thousand Suns, The Home Wreckers and The Runners all gave up their time to perform for free for the evening raising £1,500.

The funds raised on the night will go to help families with terminally ill children in the Libra Support Group.

General manager Mark Atkins said: "The response from everyone has been tremendous and the response from customers on the night really made it special.

"I'd like to thank everyone involved and all those that gave up their time and money to support this great cause.
