POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 27-year-old man from Baldock died when he was struck by a car in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The incident happened at around 2am when the man was walking along the A507 North Road from Baldock towards Baldock Services and was in collision with a Ford Focus. The driver of the car sustained slight injuries.
Police say the man's family has been informed of the tragedy.
Investigating officer Pc Bob Hauxwell said: "We are trying to determine the exact circumstances of this sad incident and are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw a man walking along the stretch of road, at around that time."
