A COMMUNITY fun day set to be held this weekend has been cancelled due to the weather.
With heavy rain predicted for the weekend, this years Baldock Day which was due to take place on Saturday on the High Street will be postponed to August 11.
Baldock Town Centre manager, Murray Fastier said: βItβs sad that we have had to cancel but we have taken advice and for health and safety reasons we will postpone the event to August.β
The day was set to have a sporting theme to mark the London Olympics with mountain bike stunts, karate and Zumba demonstrations. Other events set for the day were netball, football and golf challenges as well as face painting, live music and a barbecue.
A bike stunt team who were set to perform at the High Street event on Saturday have confirmed they will be able to attend the rearranged date. The scheduled farmers and craft market will go ahead on Saturday.
