A Baldock couple are adding their voices to the nation’s fundraising efforts as they return to their spiritual home to sing at Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games.

Husband and wife Ian Brown and Belinda Gee, who are pictured right, are part of the Games Maker Choir – made up of volunteers from the London 2012 Olympic Games – and will be returning to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park to sing on Sunday.

The Games is one of the flagship events in this year’s Sport Relief – a biannual charity fundraising bonanza borne out of a collaboration between Comic Relief and BBC Sport in 2002.

Back on home turf, a Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile will be held at Ridlins End running track in Stevenage at 10.15am on Sunday, with three and six mile routes starting at 10am. Fairlands Valley Spartans runner and police officer John Nelms hopes to be celebrating completing an epic 24-hour running challenge at 9.30am, so why not cheer him on from 8am?
