Rhythms of the World will kick off at a slightly later time than anticipated, due to problems with the weather this morning (Saturday).
The festival will still go ahead, but problems with setting up because of the weather means music will not be starting until 1pm - an hour later than planned.
The decision was made after organisers held a meeting this morning.
Head of communications, Cath Cole, told the Comet: “We just need a bit more time to get everything up and running.
“We’re aiming for 1pm, but it depends how the next couple of hours go. We will keep people updated on our Facebook and Twitter.”
