A PLAQUE will be unveiled at Stotfold Mill today (Thursday) to honour the work carried out to preserve the building which was gutted by fire in 1992.
The award was being presented to the Stotfold Mill Preservation Trust by the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB).
In its history, SPAB has only ever awarded five plaques to water mills.
"This is a great honour for us reflecting all the hard work a lot of people have put into restoring the mill," said Trust secretary Paul Redwood.
Pictured are builder John Hyde (left) and mill trustee Phillip Bradford who have been heavily involved in the restoration programme.
