AN AUTHOR has opened a new chapter for a school by unveiling its new library.
James Mayhew, author of the popular Katie books, opened the library at Woolenwick Infant and Nursery School in Stevenage by reading the children St George and The Dragon and illustrating his own unique style using watercolour. The session also included Mr Mayhew signing copies of books for parents.
The school has also recently raised £112.51 for CLIC Sergeant - a charity which supports families with a child suffering from cancer - thanks to its Yummy Mummy Pyjama Day.
