A disabled man on a mobility scooter was threatened for his cash in a failed robbery in Stevenage.
The victim in his 60s was on a cycle path by Canterbury Way last Wednesday (September 12), when a man jumped out from behind bushes and demanded money and threatened him.
The offender ran from the scene when a cyclist came along. He is described as white, of a skinny build and around 5ft 8ins tall with dark brown straight hair to his shoulder and very bad acne. He was wearing a grey jumper and grey tracksuit bottoms.
Pc Marianne Norton, investigating, said she specifically wants to speak to the cyclist, and anyone who recognises the description of the offender or saw the incident, to call her via 101 with crime reference E1/12/5582, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
