Officers have released descriptions of two suspects after an attempted burglary left damage to a Stevenage property.

At 6.45pm yesterday two offenders got into the back garden of a house in Bedwell Crescent and smashed the window pane of the back door.

The occupant disturbed the offenders after hearing the noise and the perpetrators jumped the fence into next door’s garden before running away.

Both are described as white men aged between 20 and 30 with dark hair and are around 5ft 8in tall.

The two men were both wearing dark jackets and jeans, and one was wearing a white and red baseball cap.

Nothing was stolen during the incident and no one was injured.

Anyone who saw anyone matching the description running from the scene should call police on 101 quoting crime reference E1/18/2874.
