It is good to see flocks of sheep in the parish. They are borrowed from a local farmer to do a cleaning up job of the cow paddocks. They crop the grass much closer including areas ignored by the bovine and in doing so clean up their worm larvae in a way which is not harmful to them and at the same time fertilise the pasture. This means less artificial products are needed. When the cows return to the meadows in late spring, they will in turn hoover up the worm larvae from the sheep, it is called good pasture management.
