Christmas is traditionally a time for snuggling up warm beside the fire, but what about those who don’t even have a roof over their heads?

Asda Stevenage has launched its Winter Warmer Appeal to try to help Stevenage Haven, which aims to provide shelter, advice and other support to those who find themselves homeless.

Asda’s community colleague Vanessa Brindley is looking for donations of blankets, jumpers, flasks, socks, scarves and the like to help out the homeless over the festive period.

Asda Stevenage manager Sally Duckering said: “We’re always really keen to support local charities and this is one of many ways we see the store helping out members of the local community.

“They are doing a fantastic job in helping to improve the areas we live in and we’re proud to support that work.”

To help out, get in touch with Vanessa on 01438 744800 using extension 222.
