Two men have been arrested after a fight outside Letchworth’s outdoor swimming pool last night which saw a man hospitalised with head injuries.
The standoff involving two men, who are known to each other, is thought to have happened in the swimming pool car park, shortly after midnight.
An ambulance crew was called to Monklands at 12.55am, and treated a man for head and shoulder injuries before he was taken to Stevenage’s Lister Hospital for further care.
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of assault and are in police custody.
The car park was closed by officers during the night as part of the investigation but reopened this morning.
