Two men were arrested on suspicion of assault outside a nightclub in Hitchin on Saturday morning.
The suspects, aged 27 and 29, both from Stotfold, were arrested by officers following an assault outside Que Pasa at around 12.15am. Two men were punched in the face in the attack, one, a 21-year-old hit his head on the pavement. He was taken by ambulance to Lister Hospital for treatment.
A scene of crime cordon was set up by Herts Police on Market Place until 3pm on Saturday while investigations were carried out.
The suspects have been released on bail until March 12.
