Police have made an arrest after reports of a man standing outside a Hitchin shop with a large knife.

Officers were called to Trevor Road in the town at 9am yesterday following reports from the public of a man standing outside the nearby Nisa store – on the corner of Walsworth Road and Radcliffe Road – while in possession of a large knife.
