A Stevenage man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a van collided with a dog walker.
The 36-year-old was arrested at 7.20pm yesterday evening (Thursday) at Lister Hospital where he is in intensive care.
A Ford Transit veered off Woodcock Road shortly before 9.30pm on Wednesday night colliding with a Stevenage woman and her greyhound. The woman in her 50s was taken to Lister with hand injuries.
The dog, initially thought to have sustained minor injuries, died last night.
