A 31-year-old has been arrested after an alleged assault in Stevenage over the weekend left a man with a fractured jaw.

The incident is described as happening in the High Street at about 3.10am on Saturday, with a man in his 20s allegedly punched in the face.

Det Con Kate Rickard, who is investigating, said: “I’m appealing for anyone who saw the alleged assault or believes they may have information that could assist our ongoing investigation to get in touch.”

A 31-year-old man from Stevenage has been arrested on suspicion of assault, and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
