POLICE are hunting a man who held staff at knifepoint before fleeing with cash from the safe.
The incident happened last night at the One Stop convenience store in Shefford Road, Clifton, at 9.55pm shortly before it closed.
The man ordered a member of staff to open the safe before running out of the shop with a quantity of cash.
The man is described as being around 45 years old, 5ft 6ins tall of medium build. He had brown collar length greasy hair and wore a beige baseball cap, a dark blue raincoat, dark trousers and green fleece.
A spokesman for One Stop said: “We can confirm there was an incident at the store. Thankfully no one was harmed and we are helping the police with their inquiries.”
