Armed police have raided a Stevenage flat today.

The raid started at about 10am when armed police entered The Towers block of flats in Southgate, Stevenage.

A resident of The Towers, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: “All I heard was the boots plodding up the stairs and the dog barking. I don’t even think they knocked the door down.”

The situation is ongoing and police remain on the scene.
