Armed police and helicopter called to reports of man with machete in Stevenage

Police have received reports of a man in possession of a machete in Keller Close, Stevenage.

At 8.20pm today (March 22), police received a call about a man described as being of a large build, wearing a baggy, grey tracksuit with his hood up.

Officers have searched for the male, with assistance from armed officers and the police helicopter, but he remains outstanding at this time.

There has been a report of a further incident at nearby Wigram Way, but police do not believe the two are connected.
