Vases from Arlesey War Memorial stolen

Two vases have been stolen from Arlesey War Memorial.
The vases – which were in a set of five – were last seen on Tuesday, August 21.
A spokesperson for Arlesey Town Council said: “We are extremely disappointed that the War Memorial has suffered this loss, particularly so soon after it was cleaned in readiness for the 2018 First World War centenary service.
“Any information about the removal of the vases should be reported to Susan Foulkes, town clerk, or the police.”
A restoration project for the memorial and costs to replace the two stolen vases will be discussed at the Arlesey Town Council meeting tonight,
The meeting, held at Arlesey Village Hall, will start at 7pm.
