A former vice-chairman of Arlesey Town Council accused of assaulting his wife has had his crown court trial put back to October.
David West, 56, of St Peter’s Avenue, denies unlawfully and maliciously wounding his wife Brenda West in Arlesey on October 11 last year.
He had been set to face a jury trial at some point in the fortnight starting on June 19 – but the case has yet to be heard, and has now been placed into a new ‘warned list’ beginning on October 9.
At his last court appearance, before Judge Philip Bartle QC at Luton Crown Court on March 20, Mr West denied a charge of GBH.
He had previously pleaded not guilty before Luton magistrates on February 20.
