THE Archbishop of Westminster Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor will be visiting Holy Trinity and St Augustine of Canterbury Church in London Road, Baldock, on Sunday morning between 10.30 and noon.
The Archbishop said of his visit: "The parishes in the Diocese of Westminster are at the heart of our Catholic community. It is there that our faith is built up through prayer as people gather together to celebrate Mass and through good works live out the meaning of the Gospel by helping others.
"I am greatly looking forward to being together with the parish community in Baldock on Sunday. In 1977, the new church of Holy Trinity and St Augustine of Canterbury opened and since then the parish has grown and prospered, thanks to the work and dedication of its priests and people."
"During my nine years as Archbishop of Westminster, many of my most joyful moments have been spent visiting parishes. I hope that my visit to Baldock will bring encouragement and happiness and help the parish bring the love of God to the wider community.
