A MAN exposed himself to a woman in a Hitchin park last week in broad daylight.

The incident took place in Ransom Playing Fields around 1.45pm on Thursday. The victim - a woman in her 60s - was walking through the Triangle Gardens when she saw a man stood by a tree.

The man exposed himself to her and made suggestive comments, before leaving in the direction of Florence Street.

Pc Jonathan Willoughby is investigating. He said: “We have a very good description of the offender and I would ask anyone if the may be able to identify him, or who may have seen him in the area that afternoon, to contact police as soon as possible.

“Thankfully we have not received any similar reports, however we are obviously very keen to trace him to prevent further incidents.”

The offender is described as a white man, between 30 and 35 years old, with a medium build, around 5ft 4ins tall and with short brown hair. He was said to be wearing a purple hooded top blue tracksuit bottoms and was pushing a silver old style racing bike.
