Police are appealing for witnesses to an attack on two men in a Stevenage nightclub.

Officers want to speak to anyone who has information about the assault at Chicago Rock Caf in Stevenage at 11.45pm on July 7 when a group of three to five men hit a 25-year-old Stevenage man around the head with a bottle, and headbutted a Hertford man also aged 25.

The two victims had been waiting outside the men’s toilets when they were attacked. They were left with facial injuries.

Investigating officer, Hayden Coggins, said: “I would ask people to cast their minds back to that evening. They may recall it was a particularly busy evening due to a ‘hot tub’ night, and as such the toilets had a number of people in who could all be potential witnesses.

Dc Coggins urged anyone who saw the attack to call him via the non-emergency number, 101, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Three men aged 18, 20 and 21 from Welwyn GC have been arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm. They are on police bail.
