Another welcome windfall for Stevenage charity rocked when burglars ransacked its base

A good cause which was overwhelmed by the support it received from the community after burglars ransacked its offices has received another welcome windfall.
Cancer Hair Care, based in Stevenage Old Town, helps people cope with hair loss caused by cancer treatment.
It has received nearly £6,500 from the Austin Charitable Fund at the Hertfordshire Community Foundation to support its work.
The fund, established in 2002, picks a different charity to support each year.
The donation represents the results of a string of fundraising activities and Claire Austin, managing director of the North Herts funeral directors which has its HQ not far from the Cancer Hair Care Offices, has also been helping the good cause connect with other businesses and benefit from professional advice.
Founder Jasmin Julia Gupta said: “It was a real bonus to receive such a huge donation.
“The trustees have allocated the donation to support our hospital clinics for children and adults with hair loss.
“We can’t thank Claire and her team enough.”
