CELEBRATIONS marking Stevenage's 60th anniversary as a new town have continued in musical style.
The town's Mayor Designate, Cllr Graham Clark, and his wife Dilys, joined children at Woolenwick Junior School, in Bridge Road West, Stevenage, for a concert performed by musicians Kate Elmitt and Catherine Wilmers.
Cllr Clark and his wife also spent a morning at St Vincent de Paul Primary School in Bedwell Crescent where they enjoyed music from the Hertfordshire Brass Quintet.
Cllr Clark said: "I thoroughly enjoyed both the presentation and the content of the two schools' concerts. They were both completely different. They played lively tunes and the children certainly enjoyed it enormously."
Stevenage Mayor Simon Speller joined year six children at Camps Hill Community Primary School, Chells Way, as they were treated to a hands-on workshop of West African Djembe drumming, led by Joe Cooper from Hertfordshire Music Service.
And it's not just children who are enjoying the anniversary celebrations.
