Mummified rats, birds, crocodiles and more at an exhibition at Letchworth Museum & Art Gallery, from January 28 until March 25. Find out why animals were so important for the ancient Egyptians and how they mummified them (well, I hope!). The exhibition is from the Walter Rothschild Museum, Tring with mummies from museums all over the country. The museum is open daily from 10am to 5pm; closed Wednesdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays, free admission - further information on 685647.
