Stevenage shoppers are being offered a free ride on a classic 1950s bus to a farmers’ market tomorrow.
The 1950 classic RT-Type double-decker London bus will be running a free service between Stop K of the bus station in the town centre and the White Lion bus stop in the Old Town – next to the farmers’ market in the High Street.
Shoppers are being encouraged to venture down and visit the market which, in addition to the regular stalls, will feature a wide variety of Christmas delicacies for revellers to enjoy themselves or save for presents. The bus will run every half an hour between 10am and 2pm.
