An air ambulance landed in Stevenage yesterday afternoon as paramedics rushed to the aid of a man who had collapsed and was not conscious or breathing.
The ambulance service told the Comet they were called at 1pm to reports of a man who had collapsed in Fawcett Road.
An ambulance officer and crew, rapid response vehicle, community first responder and East Anglian Air Ambulance all attended the scene and found a man unconscious and not breathing.
Paramedics took the man, described as aged in his 50s, to the town’s Lister Hospital for further treatment.
An ambulance service spokesman was unable to give any update on his present condition.
