A teenager suffered head injuries after being struck by a car in Radburn Way, Letchworth GC this morning.
Paramedics from Letchworth GC and a doctor from the Hertfordshire Air Ambulance attended the incident and the helicopter landed on the grass verge in Radburn Way.
Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: "The patient sustained a head injury following a collision with a car. Due to this, the air ambulance was called to assist at the scene. A man aged 18 was stabilised by paramedics and a doctor from the air ambulance before he was taken to the Lister Hospital by a Letchworth ambulance. The driver of the car involved, a woman, was uninjured and did not require hospital treatment.
