The Hertfordshire Air Ambulance landed in the car park at Tesco in Baldock this afternoon after a young boy was knocked over by a car close to the nearby roundabout.
Ambulance crews from Stevenage attended the scene. Due to the nature of the call, the Hertfordshire Air Ambulance was required to assist.
Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: "The boy was in collision with a car near to the roundabout on London Road. We believe he is 11 years old. He has sustained minor injuries and has been conveyed to the Lister Hospital in Stevenage by road.
