The concert season gets under way on Monday with local cellist Rachel Sanders-Hewett accompanied by her father Martin with a programme of sonatas by Boccherini and Brahms. Martin is well-known as a teacher, performer and examiner, not least for his extensive work with choirs in Hertfordshire and beyond. Afternoon concerts are held on the second Monday of each month and take place in the Peter Morrison Hall at Benslow Music Trust, Benslow Lane starting at 3.30pm. Admission is £6 at the door and includes home-made tea, for details ring 01462 459446.
