Of the Bible Society has a small group gather recently at 9 Clifton Road for the monthly Bible Study on Enlarging our Vision of God on the prophet Amos. The message God gave him got him for the northern kingdom of Israel is perhaps the most relevant of all the prophet's messages for today's world: Let justice roll on like a mighty river and integrity flow like a never failing stream. Leader Jenny Dann drew our attention to Amos' background, a shepherd and one who cared for fruit trees and how it made Amos appreciative of God's creation and his power over it. The next meeting is on Monday, March 13 led by Rev Steve Summerfield, our Baptist minister at 3 Pinemead off Clifton Road and will be on Jeremiah chapter 32.
