FORMER Arsenal and Scotland goalkeeper Bob Wilson was in Stevenage to receive a cheque for his charity.
A fun day held at Stevenage Borough Football Academy was organised by Michelle Still and Anita Grewal to raise cash for The Willow Foundation.
A percentage of the £893 will go to the renal unit at the Lister Hospital, Stevenage.
The Willow Foundation celebrates its seventh birthday this month.
It was set up by Bob and his wife Megs in memory of their daughter Anna, who used to be a nurse at Lister and died of cancer aged just 31.
So far the charity has created 1,600 special days for seriously ill young adults aged 16 to 40 who have a range of conditions including cancer, motor neurone disease, cystic fibrosis, and Huntingdon's disease.
